"Skilled Nursing Facilities: Understanding & Managing Change"

On October 1, 2010, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will implement new rules for the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS). CMS plans to implement a new assessment tool, the minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 in addition to 13 new payment categories. These new rules & regulations will significantly impact rehabilitation services in SNFs and how rehabilitation services are recorded on the Minimum Data Set (MDS). Therapists may be required to make considerable changes in how they document and coordinate care, and determine projected therapy needs on the MDS. This one hour audio conference will thoroughly review the new SNF rules and regulations.
