Strategic Plan (abbrev.) Revised October 2006

Goal #1: Create LAMP Institute

  1. Define purpose, scope, activities
  2. Develop a Strategic Plan for the Institute
  3. HPA Board to define strategies for the development of a plan for implementation of Strategic Plan
  4. Development of Implementation Plan
  5. Development of Business Plan
  6. Implement Phase I - 2008

Goal #2: Increase membership in HPA to 2700 members by 2010.

  1. Develop a well formed outcome for membership in HPA.
  2. Develop and implement a marketing plan to recruit and retain members.
  3. Investigate and evaluate communication with new and ongoing members.

Goal #3: Develop and promote an HPA research agenda

  1. Develop agenda priorities that are relevant to practice.
  2. Collaborate with the APTA Foundation to expand their research agenda to include the HPA research agenda as outlined in Objective A.

Goal #4: Advocate for APTA members in health policy, regulatory, and administration issues.

  1. Establish a mechanism for communication and comment on contemporary health policy, regulatory, and administrative issues.
  2. Influence APTA positions and initiatives related to health policy, regulatory, and administration issues.
