APTA LogoThe Section on Health Policy & Administration (HPA) is a component of the American Physical Therapy Association, a national professional organization representing more than 75,000 members. Its goal is to foster advancements in physical therapy practice, research, and education.

Membership in HPA is restricted to individuals who are members of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and meet APTA's eligibility requirements. Individuals may join the Section at the same time they join APTA or they may join the Section at a later date.

All applications for membership or membership renewal are handled through the American Physical Therapy Association's central office in Alexandria, Virginia.

HPA Special Interest Groups

Current HPA members are eligible to join either or both of the HPA Special Interest Groups, Global Health and Technology in Physical Therapy. Join the SIGs by logging into the Section website and going to Profile Home. You may select the SIGs in your profile under the "Additional Information" heading.
