About the Webinar:

Physical therapists have definitely been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have seen clinical care changes, workflow changes, and even site of practice changes (with Telehealth options from home). As we transition to a new normal, including virtual care, the ease in which clinical information needs to be securely available to us and the entire healthcare community is more important than ever. In addition, legislation advancing interoperability between providers, payers, and patients continues to advance the need for this data sharing.

This webinar will provide clarity to the ONC and CMS final rulings in practical language. In addition, we share the necessary information for practitioners to remain in compliance with industry changes, securing PHI, avoiding information blocking penalties, supporting electronic care coordination, and protecting referral relationships.

After attending this webinar, you will have tangible next steps for a transition from the fax machine to electronic, secure data exchange processes and workflows.

Upon completion of the webinar, attendees will be able to:
Explain what data interoperability means in physical therapy in everyday terms
Describe the impact of data interoperability on care delivery and referral relationships
Identify tangible steps to transition from the fax and to more interoperable methods of exchange
Take advantage of interoperability tools that are immediately available during the COVID-19 crisis
