Biographical Statement
I come from a strategically diverse background with experience in hybrid teaching and learning, patient care, and small business ownership. As an entrepreneur, I owned a successful rehabilitation staffing agency for 20+ years that served patients in the greater Cleveland area. I served as an associate professor at the University of Findlay (2001-18) and taught orthopedics, therapeutic exercise, and documentation. I led the weekend PTA-DPT bridge program hybrid efforts and played an important role in the development of the strategic plan for the transition into a hybrid format. In my current role as DPT Program Director at Hanover College, innovation is essential to our program mission as we plan to prepare the next generation of physical therapists.
My research interests include online teaching and learning; specifically, the exploration of how to teach "hands-on" skills in an online environment. I hope to use my clinical, academic, and small business ownership experience to help advance the use of technology in higher education. I believe the TechSig can be the perfect platform that bridges the gap between technology and higher education. Within our profession, more work can help establish best practices in this area!

Candidate Statement
I would like the opportunity to serve as the TechSig nominating committee member. Considering the state of the world and future implications of the coronavirus, our leadership in telehealth, emergency remote instruction, and distance education will be important. As a united front, we can determine innovative and collaborative ways to best treat patients, serve students, and shape the future of the PT profession.
