Join HPA The Catalyst for a management webinar addressing how to handle conflict in the workplace. Our presenter, Brian Hull, PT, DPT, MBA, Director of Rehabilitation for Baylor University Medical Center, will help your team get to a place of collaboration.

Leading Yourself and Others from Conflict to Collaboration discusses how simple negotiation and facilitation strategies and organization of thought can be effectively applied to everyday challenges PTs face in management-both clinical and administrative.  This webinar provides managers, academic and clinical leaders ideas and techniques on helping themselves and the people they manage and interact with move past conflicts and barriers by finding shared interests.

Brian stresses that we need to find sanity in an insane world and work together in challenging times. His hypothesis is that most of the time humans create their own problems and we do not try to see the world through others' eyes. Empathy and compassion play vital roles in collaboration. These two key components can build your office relationships and the patient relationship and experience.

Educational Objectives:
1. Develop new negotiation strategies to effectively collaborate with other professionals and administrators throughout health care.
2. Develop new facilitation strategies to effectively communicate during stressful situations with other professionals and administrators throughout health care.
3. Understand how workplace adversity can result from the human condition, and that a systematic approach proactively addressing disparate perspectives can turn conflict into collaboration.
