The growth of consumerism is impacting both patients and providers. As patients shoulder a greater burden of paying their healthcare bills, providers are faced with changing the way they interface with consumers to meet their increasing volume of payments.

Our speakers from Change Healthcare, Stuart Hanson, SVP, GM and Lynette Nelson, CRCR, will discuss how to engage your physical therapy patients to make payments.

The following topics will be highlighted:

•  The shift of consumerism across all industries drives an increased focus on the billing experience. Therefore, patients are seeking multiple and convenient payment channels in healthcare, which maximizes collections for providers but also drives patient satisfaction.

•  With the expansion of high deductible health plans, patient financial responsibility is skyrocketing. Many consumers don't understand their healthcare benefits, especially for physical therapy services, and clinical staff often has limited to access to tools to effectively respond to patient inquires.

•  By optimizing healthcare technology solutions, which include simple patient billing and a variety of consumer payment options, providers can help reduce bad debt, lower costs to collect, speed up collections, and increase their overall revenue.
